Religion for Atheists by Alain de Botton
Secular culture has little machinery to guide its bewildered flock when it comes to moral values. The author embarks on a pragmatic crusade to save the non-believer’s soul. If you are in need of gentle guidance and also want to explore the benefits of beautiful buildings, dining with total strangers, mother figures, and, yes, serious pessimism be sure to read this excellent book.
Our non-fiction group loved it and rated it 4½ out of 5.
