Bookclub Review

Blindness by José Saramago was widely read and initially enjoyed by the group. As the conversation progressed, however, the opinions of some members shifted toward the negative. For these readers, the storyline felt unbelievable, unrealistic, and at times flat. Despite this, the imagery was powerful, and for many the narrative still worked effectively.
In conclusion, the group was divided: some considered the book a masterpiece, while others felt it was less of an achievement. Nevertheless, the book remains a painful and unsettling read.
