The Stone Gods by Jeanette Winterson. We had a lively discussion lasting around an hour and a half, with plenty of opinions and debate.

Most of us agreed that the story is well researched and works well as a thoughtful piece of science fiction. The three interconnected stories complement each other effectively.

Overall, the group rated the book highly. If you enjoy novels that question society and have a strong science-fiction edge, this could be a great read for you.
