Bookclub Review

The group was as diverse as ever.

This is a bizarre book in the sense that you only truly find out what is going on in the last few pages. The story is set in France, and the book reflects middle-class Britain well.

The characters are not particularly likeable. Despite the group’s strong outcry about how the book made it onto the 2023 Booker Prize longlist, it does make for an interesting book club discussion.

So, reader, if you enjoy something a little bizarre, you might like this.
