The Dragonfly Pool by Eva Ibbotson

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Eva Ibbotson is a very talented writer. The way she portrays the tension and atmosphere during a time of war really makes you wonder what it must have been like back then.

At times, the book excited me and made me feel deeply sad. There were also moments when I felt utterly frustrated at how people could stand in the way of the children’s friendship. It definitely made me reflect on the power of determination and loyalty.

I highly recommend it to anyone who loves stories about friendship, courage, and resilience.
