Suite Française by Irène Némirovsky

Suite Française by Irène Némirovsky was generally found by the group to be an excellent book. Some described it as a “must-read,” while others felt it was “very readable.” The group agreed that the author offers strong insight into the ordinary lives of people living during the war and captures the fall of France magnificently. Némirovsky skilfully conveys the tension between characters—both the invaders and the invaded.
